I collected some facts and specs about windows filesystems. About their limits and security.
Mac-OS has still some problems with writing on NTFS partitions. If you work on windows and MAC you should use FAT-32.

NTFS – New Technology File System (NTFS)
Allows user to run: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 7
Maximum Size of the partition is: 2 Tera-Bytes
Can hold up Maximum File Size of: 16TB.
File and Folder Encryption is possible only the Storage Device in NTFS mode.
Supports 255 characters long file name
Security (File/Folder level Security)
Support For Dynamics Disks (To Create Mirror Raid)
Disk Compression
Disk Quota for users
FAT 32 – File Allocation Table 32 Bit (FAT 32) is a programming syntax
Allows user to run: DOS v7+, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 7
Maximum Size of the partition: 32 GB, 2 Tera-Bytes only fore some systems.
Can hold up Maximum File Size of: 4 GB
File and Folder Encryption: is not possible
